(Maputo, April 25, 2025) The Investment and Export Promotion Agency, IP (APIEX,IP) presented today, April 25, the business and investment opportunities in Mozambique to the Dubai Business Mission during the event entitled “Doing Business with Mozambique”.

The event was organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Mozambique, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Mozambique, through the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports, IP (APIEX,IP), the Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique (CCM) and the Consulate General of Mozambique in Dubai.

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has identified high-potential sectors for Dubai’s exports to Mozambique, including wheat, automobiles, mobile phones, frozen fish, diagnostic and laboratory equipment, electrical conductors and textiles. Promising sectors for investment by Dubai companies in Mozambique include agribusiness, tourism and hospitality, packaging and printing, traditional and renewable energy, and the wood processing industry, among others.

Speaking during the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Fredson Bacar, Secretary of State for Tourism of the Republic of Mozambique, invited businessmen from the United Arab Emirates to invest in strategic areas defined by the Government for the development of the country, namely, Agriculture, Energy, Infrastructure, Mineral Resources, Industry and Tourism and Hospitality.
