The General Director of the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports, IP (APIEX, IP) Gil da Conceição Bires, held a meeting, on February 5, 2024, at the APIEX, IP Offices in Maputo, with three Ambassadors recently appointed by His Excellency Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique.

These are Their Excellencies Elias Jaime Zimba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mozambique to the Federal Republic of Germany; Fortunato Albrinho, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique to the Republic of Ghana and Sérgio Cabá, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mozambique to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Ambassadors’ visit to APIEX,IP aimed to learn about the role of APIEX,IP as the institution responsible for promoting Investment and Exports in Mozambique, as well as harmonizing intervention strategies in the field of facilitating investment and Exports .

During the aforementioned meeting, the Hon. General Director of APIEX,IP shared information about the Legal Framework and investment opportunities in Mozambique, as well as the country’s exportable potential.

Speaking during the meeting, the General Director of APIEX,IP thanked the visit and said that within the scope of economic diplomacy, Embassies play an important role in promoting the image of Mozambique as a preferred investment destination, having highlighted the need for better coordination and harmonization of intervention strategies in the field of investment and export facilitation.
