Mocuba Special Economic Zone
The Special Economic Zone of Mocuba was created through Decree n°28/2014 of June 6th. This is located in Zambézia Province and covers the entire Mocuba district and the administrative post of Munhamade, in the Lugela district, with an area of 10,727 km². The same is public management. The ZEE of Mocuba has 8 authorized investment projects, with approved investment of approximately USD 37,400,000.00, with the forecast of creating 481 jobs for nationals.
Considering the agricultural potential of the region, the creation of the ZEE of Mocuba had in mind
with a view to responding to the need to attract projects in the agricultural production sectors,
livestock and forestry, as well as its processing.
