Mozambique promotes business opportunities in China

The Republic of Mozambique will participate, from 12th to 15th June 2025, in Changsha City, Hunan Province, People’s Republic of China, in the “4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Exhibition (CAETE)”.

The Fair is co-organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM), the People’s Government of Hunan Province in coordination with African partners. It will be held under the theme of “China and Africa: Tigether towards Modernization” and aims to facilitate the development of the China-Africa Pilot Zone for In-depth Economic and Trade Cooperation through the economic and trade events organization.
Mozambique’s participation in the event is being coordinated by the Ministry of Economy, through the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports, IP (APIEX, IP), and aims to promote investment and business opportunities, through the exhibition of the country’s economic potential and export potential.
To this end, a Delegation headed by Her Excellency Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, is in that country to explore business opportunities and establish partnerships in strategic areas for the country’s development.
It should be noted that China is a strategic partner for the economic development of Mozambique, being the country’s participation in the China-Africa Economic and Trade Exhibition constitutes an important platform for consolidating economic and trade relations between the two countries.

The 4th Edition of CAETE is part of the implementation of the “Ten Partnership Actions” resulting from the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, held in September 2024 in the People’s Republic of China.
